We offer a 72 (seventy-two)Hour health guarantee,and the pet must be checked by a Veterinarian . (See our detailed Contract Below) Our pets are guaranteed to be of good physical health and pet quality. We cannot be responsible for genetic or hereditary traits. We have taken the long route of raising our stock from pups so we have been able to observe and monitor personalities etc. We have picked our breeding pairs responsibly. We know of no defects in any of their or their ancestors history.  Our pets will have their first shots, and maybe their 2nd shots depending on age. They will be wormed, and will have basic paper training started. Our pups come with a "My New HOME Starter Kit", which includes a baby blanket with their mothers scent, potty training pads, some training/raising instructions, toy,chew stick and more. For your peace of mind, and ours, we offer a LIFETIME Placement Assistance Policy." This states if your circumstance ever change and you are no longer able to provide a Loving home for this pet, we will assist you in placing it, or if neccesary, taking it until a suitable home can be found. We offer this free of charge as we DO NOT want any puppy we sold to end up in a shelter or other unsatisfactory condition. We also will be avaiable thru email for questions and concerns about raising your new additon. We welcome pictures and email, and will post your photos on our web site. I hope to later start a bi-monthly chat group or blog for us.
Vogel Haus Kennels, to the best of our knowledge, guarantee that the above dog is in good health, current on shots and dewormed at the time of sale, but do NOT guarantee final adult size, conformation, color, coat pattern or fertility as the above dog is being sold as a companion pet quality dog only. The $_________ deposit is part of the purchase price, but is nonrefundable. Buyer must have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession of the dog. Routine check ups and follow up vaccinations are required, as is heartworn prevention. As with most standard contracts, the cost of the vet bills and check ups or any procedures/treatments you have done before consulting Vogel Haus will be at Buyers expense. Please keep a copy of this exam as proof of having it done within the 72 hour period, and also keep a copy of this contract. The breeders guarantee the above dog for 1 year from date of birth for life threatening genetic diseases that would render the dog unsuitable as a companion pet. If during that year the dog is diagnosed with a life threatening genetic disease, the buyer must provide to the breeder proof of the 72 hour initial Vet exam in addition to written documentation and ALL lab results from a licensed veterinarian. The buyer may then return the dog and its registration papers to the breeder at the buyers expense and a replacement dog of equal value will be given when one becomes available. Puppies are not a commodity, so we will try to resolve issues in a manner that takes that into consideration. After many years of breeding ,we have yet to have a problem, this contract is a security for both the buyer and the seller. All attempts to work out a mutual and reasonable solution will be attempted first. A pet is something that can not be easily traded/replaced as could a normal commodity. We are dealing with life and emotions, which are far more important to me, and hopefully, the buyer of my pups. The contract and health guarantee applies only to the initial buyer shown above. If ownership of the dog changes then the contract and health guarantee become null and void. Should the above dog die while in the breeders care then the buyers may choose another dog of equal value when one becomes available. Common canine parasites such as fleas, mites, ticks, worms, Giardia, and Coccidia, etc. are not covered under this health guarantee/contract. We follow a veterinarian recommended parasite control schedule. Please follow the advice of your veterinarian. Routine Checkups, shots, heartworm, etc. is a requirement of this contract. If the buyer decides not to take the above dog for it's 72 hour vet exam, then the health guarantee in this contract is null and void. It is highly recommended that the dog be spayed or neutered. Because of the dachshunds long-back structure it should be discouraged from jumping up to, or down from, high places and not allowed to get overweight. Any cases of neglect, abuse, undue back strain, or obesity shall make this health guarantee to be null and void. Buyer(s) have read and agree to ALL the terms stated in this contract and health guarantee.
