Hannah and her sister Sarah, had trouble deciding between all the little pups, but finally both agreed on this black'n tan guy who wil be living with them in Euless, Tx.

    Good Morning !
Hope all is well.. We are going to have wonderful weather here today to enjoy Gloria's' 7th birthday. Wanted to let you have a peek at the new addition to our family that Gloria has wanted for so long. The fluffy white one in the attached picture has been christened "Pritzi".
She is a "Coton De Tulear" born June 10,2009. Present weight = 3 lbs. expected to be 10lbs at maturity. We found her on the Internet, from a breeder (Becky) a "stones throw" from the Lane's lake house in Pinedale. The breeder is a very nice lady who really loves her animals.
As you can see in the picture, She also raises Dachshunds and pot-bellied pigs, ( among other things)

    History :
The Coton de Tulear developed on the Island of Madagascar and is still the island's national dog. The Coton's ancestors were brought to Madagascar in the 16th and 17th centuries aboard pirate ships. Madagascar was a haven for pirates, and pirate graveyards can still be seen there.

The Coton has a long coat which needs a thorough grooming almost everyday, and a bath about once a month. Cotons, like Poodles, are hypoallergenic; they have hair (a lot like human hair), which makes them very popular and compatible with people who have allergies. Because they have hair rather than a coat of fur, they don't shed. Instead, they lose a small amount of hair. Cotons need a short walk every day for exercise, but will appreciate a play session as often as possible and have the endurance to go on a long hike.

The Coton is a playful, affectionate, intelligent breed. It loves people and as a result can have separation anxiety. It loves life and is enthusiastic and lively. It is a very vocal breed, grunting and making other noises when having fun. Some Cotons have a habit of jumping up and walking on their hind legs to please people. Some Cotons may exhibit shyness or cautiousness in new situations, especially around strangers, but this can usually be overcome with training. Most Cotons love meeting new people and are very curious in new situations. The dogs are very trainable with praise, instead of punishment. They can be great with other dogs.

The girls (and everyone who meets her) love her. She's perfect for them.

Early this morning, when I took Pritzi outside for her bathroom duties and to drink my coffee, a couple of black guys were robbing the Coke machine downstairs at the apartments where we live, (By somehow sticking their hand in the hole where the Cokes come out, and pulling them out..) I wasn't really sure what they were doing and wasn't going to say anything to them.. (partly because I didn't really think it could be done, and partly because I didn't want to get shot..) But Pritzi started barking at them like she knew they were doing something wrong !! They FLED !!

Truly an amazing dog ! She is very sensitive to intruders..
Am going to attempt a conference call to you around 11:30 am CST today.. Hope to talk to you then..
    Love, Warren

First photo you can see the pot belly Pig to the right of the photo.

This baby girl COTON went to live with Mia and her hubby and 2 young boys.
What's ironic is I sold 2 COTONs a few weeks earlier to a lady Renee who named the female Mia, and her son said his was to be called Spud, his favorite food and it was all white.
Mia called me after Lucy's first check up and said the Vet and I nearly quoted each other word for word, and she said she would ask about something I had said and the Vet would answer the same thing I had said, and everything,..the Vet told her that she had gotten a very healthy puppy ..couldn't find a thing wrong, not even the usual ear mites..so we are pleased to hear news like that!
Here is a picture of Mia, Lucy & hubby . I haven't received a picture from Renee as yet.

The Mc Farlands, neighbors of ours for years, said he saw me at the rabies clinic last year and liked the looks of my pups..so he just stopped in with his daugther Lindsey, and took a pair of sisters home. The little red one is Marley and the little black 'n tan is Tia.

We received an update today from Angel, "that they had named their puppy Camo, and at his Vet check today, the Vet bragged on the good looking healthy pup they had picked."

Emily, pictured here with her mother, are of German decent, perfect for this little German dog they named Lexie.
Emily just graduated with her teaching degree, and we wish them the best in their new life together.

Sometimes 2 is better than one. When you can't decide, get both. This brother and sister went to the Huntsberger family of Burleson tx.
    {quote from the E-mail, when I "checked" on the puppies the next day}
"My son Sean, named the male Augie and the female is Scooter. They both adjusted pretty well with the other two dogs.Trying to get them to stay awake during the day, instead of the night. I now have both of them asleep on me and the other two at my feet."

This is Joei and her hubby James. They bought her the pup, they named SIRE Waddlingham Handler for Mother's Day and to fill the void of an older dog who passed away.

This is a quote from Joie :
"I was going to call you yesterday to say that he is perfect. He has this thing about sleeping in my hair at night. His daddy is so wonderful with him. He is asleep right now. Such a young baby! Oh and he tinkles on the paper almost everytime. He has my Saidee's collar on but her bell is so big it touches the ground so I had to take it off for now. We are just nuts about him. He has been talking a lot and really barks sometimes. We don't have a crate so we a are using a box right by our bed because he can get right out of the car seat bed. Then he starts howling if one of us isn't there. He has your schedule of wanting to stay up at night and sleep all day! I'm tring to keep him up a little today"

    Subject: Miss Daisy Mae.

Becky, I looked at your web site today and thought I would send you some pictures of our Daisy Mae. She is the one that was traveling in the big motorhome to Flordia and then back to OK to make her home with Muffin, (her big sister).. She is soon to be 6 months old on the 5th of Oct.

She goes to work with us every day and meets and greets people as they come into our office.. Always wanting the tummy rubbed. She and Muffin get along good now, even with the huge age difference. Some times Muffin has to let her know who is boss, but Daisy is so funny it doesn't bother her in the least. She is a happy puppy. I think she might weigh 5 pounds now. She is long and full of energy.
We enjoyed your web site and thanks for Daisy.
    Norma.

We Wish them all a great life and hope to stay in touch with photos and notes. Don't I wook soooo purty?
